Understanding Arizona’s Homeschool Requirements
Students enrolled at Acellus Academy study from home under the supervision of their parents. It is important for parents to follow the local requirements for homeschooling. In Arizona, this includes regular attendance for at least 180 school days when school is in session and instruction in the required subjects of reading, grammar, math, social studies, and science (A.R.S.§15-802).
If the student participates in the Arizona ESA (Empowerment Scholarship Account) program, the parent is not required to file an affidavit of intent to homeschool per the AZ ESA Parent Handbook. After enrolling, please provide a copy of your enrollment confirmation from Acellus Academy to your student’s previous school when withdrawing (if applicable).
