It looks like your student qualifies for an ESA

Final determination must be made by the State of Arizona, however, your student can immediately begin studying at Acellus Academy.

Please complete the steps below to get started. We recommend enrolling under Acellus Academy’s Premium Tuition Plan, which includes a laptop computer that is locked down to prevent distraction. Your student will receive immediate access to coursework and the computer will be shipped as soon as your student’s ESA is approved by the State.

Step 1 – Submit your ESA Application

The first step to qualify for an ESA is to submit your application to the Arizona Department of Education. Based on the information you provided, we recommend specifying “Universal student grades kindergarten through twelve” as the eligibility category.

What are the eligibility requirements for receiving an ESA?

The eligibility requirements for Arizona’s Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) program were expanded in 2022 to include all K–12 students in Arizona, regardless of their family’s income, location within the state, or previous academic performance. This funding is available even for students already attending private schools or being homeschooled.

How long will it take for my ESA application to be reviewed?

Applications are processed within 30 days, according to the AZ ESA Program website. Your student may begin studying immediately at Acellus Academy while your application is pending.

How will the AZ ESA cover my student's tuition?

Parents with an approved ESA receive access to an account called “Classwallet” with a quarterly allocation of funds. A quarterly invoice for tuition will be sent via email, which may be paid through Classwallet using ESA funds.

What happens if my ESA application is denied?

If your application for an ESA is denied, you may continue your enrollment in Acellus Academy provided that you pay the tuition costs. You may consider participating in the Roger Billings Scholarship at a significantly reduced tuition rate.
